Germany
Kinderarmut in Deutschland e.V. was founded in 1988 and initially only organized vacation camps for children living in poverty. The organization is now also involved in educational activities, such as an online platform that enables parents without means to give their children sound tutoring in the main subjects themselves. This offer is flanked by the initiative "A book for every child", where donors can give the children a book each.
An online form that connects donors and families across the board and significantly reduces the administrative workload needs to be redesigned and reprogrammed. In future, this form will be the core of the new Child Poverty in Germany – KiD homepage and will make a significant contribution to reaching even more children living in poverty.
With funds provided by the AEB-Stiftung, KiD commissions an agency to program the new online form. Once this has gone live, a Christmas donation campaign will be launched.
