"It's my wish and hope that the AEB-Stiftung will inspire others to get involved and help other people too."
I first heard about the AEB-Stiftung at an AEB staff meeting. I thought it was a great idea right from the start: supporting a good cause with your daily work. After all, the part of the profit that AEB does not reinvest directly in the company goes to the foundation.
I don't have a fixed area of responsibility at the foundation and am happy to help wherever I can. Most of the time, it's in the area of public relations. This includes, for example, publishing an article about the AEB-Stiftung in our magazine "AnachB" and in our online media, or designing a Christmas video to draw attention to the foundation. I also helped design the content of the AEB campaign day for the organization "KinderHelden" and developed a workshop on advertising together with colleagues.
I completely back the foundation's fundamental idea: that education is not only the key to success, but also promotes the development of open-minded and tolerant personalities. And that this ultimately supports peaceful, respectful, and responsible coexistence between people. Being able to contribute to this, even in a small way, is a great motivation in itself.
My attitude to work has changed. After all, we spend a large part of our lives working. I've always enjoyed it at AEB, but there are still issues or moments from time to time when you need extra motivation. It helps to know that we are not just working for our customers or our own company, but ultimately for people who are not as well off as we are.
I hope that the foundation can really make a difference and achieve its goals. In the sense of the fundamental idea that I just described. And that it serves as a kind of role model and inspires others to get involved and help others too.
